Honoring Mike Forrest

The Spring Symposium is the Geophysical Society of Houston's premier technical event of the year. Join us in honoring Mike Forrest, a celebrated energy geophysicist and philanthropist. Mike's career includes 37 years at Shell Oil Company as a geophysicist and executive, the COO and Vice President Business Development and Technology of Maxus Energy, and Co-Founder and Chairman of the Rose & Associates DHI Risk Analysis Consortium. In addition to his professional contribution to the field of geophysics, Mike has made a significant impact in his outreach and mentorship activities including the SEG EVOLVE, the SEG Foundation and Geoscientists Without Borders, and the Institute for the Study of Earth and Man (ISEM) at Southern Methodist University.

What to Expect:
Two full days of technical presentations and panel discussions, with four sessions dedicated to themes on Basin Entry Risking, Prospect Portfolio (Play-based) Risking, Advanced Topics in Geophysics, and the future of subsurface characterization and geoscience.
