Holographic Seismic Imaging attains the Highest Possible Resolution (HPR) Subsurface Imaging. An order of magnitude increase in Space-Time Data Sampling, and an Extended Visual Dynamic Range (EVDR) Color Display are needed to adequately present such results for analysis and interpretation.

Standard Seismic Technology does not image the subsurface. It uses reflections from the subsurface to form an image, from which a subsurface must be interpreted. It incorporates limitations such as a Nyquist frequency and Spatial Aliasing, which do not have to be present when using alternative seismic methods of subsurface Imaging.

Seismic Holography is one such method of imaging. The mechanics of Holographic Imaging, and relation to Optical Holography are simply described. They nevertheless raise fundamental questions relating to their use, and what is to be accomplished.

Some of these questions to be addressed here include:
What should we image and why? How much resolution do we need for particular applications? How much resolution can we get? What other analyses can we perform on such data? What role would such data play in improving Exploration and Production Technology? What about Conventional and Unconventional Objectives? What should be the role of Geology? Clastics? Carbonates? What about Attribute calculations? AVO? When do we need to use Diffraction Imaging? What is Diffraction Imaging? Geopressure applications - Onshore and Offshore? Role for Rock Property Determinations?

This 16 hour course can be taken in the comfort of your office or home.
It works on PCs, iPads, and iPhones. No travel costs.
