Today, the oil and gas industry is mired with challenges in mapping heterogeneous unconventional reservoirs with varying attributes in mineralogy, organic content and natural fractures. With proper planning, heterogeneity can be characterized pre-drill using seismic data. 

During today’s talk Anastasia and Sudha will present the implementation, acquisition challenges and results from our recent unconstrained simultaneous-source technique guided seismic acquisitions in West Texas where we adopted high-density acquisition and azimuth-aware broadband processing strategies to provide a step change in seismic data quality for this area of the Permian Basin where most new acquisitions are inhibited by land access restrictions. Important geological insights have had a material impact on economic risk assessments and developmental plans for prospects in this area.

Speaker Biographies:
Anastasia Poole – Exploration Data Manager managing Multiclient team for Schlumberger in North America Land, which provides access to more than 25,000,000 SQMI of seismic data to over 200 clients in all major unconventional basins in U.S. and Canada. 
During her international assignments in Middle East, Australia, Russia and United Kingdom Anastasia worked on developing and deploying high-density seismic acquisition & processing techniques which brought tremendous benefits to our clients over last 10 years by improving the efficiency and reducing the risk of  oil and gas operations. 
In 2019 she joined North America Land team which since acquired two densest multiclient projects in Permian producing critically improved data quality and geological insights.

Vasudhaven (Sudha) Sudhakar – Unconventionals New Ventures Business Development Lead. With over forty years of proven experience in the oil and gas industry, both domestically and internationally Sudha has strong management experience and technical expertise in integration of geological and geophysical data. He is results-oriented professional with experience in successful research and development projects and proven track record managing turnarounds, new ventures, and growth business. Holder of three patents and numerous publications. He has great passion for applied geophysics and brings tremendous value to North America Land team by bridging the gap between G&G and engineering communities. He literally talks language of shale.
