Speaker: Dr. Jian Mao, TGS

Dynamic matching full-waveform inversion (DMFWI) is an advanced technology for robust velocity-model building using the total wavefield in the data including both diving wave, reflections and multiples. DMFWI can provide high-resolution structural images by taking the directional derivative of the velocity models. The applications of DMFWI show the capability to resolve large velocity errors and provide high fidelity images for different types of acquisitions in various geology settings.
