A Live Webinar featuring, Peter Duncan

Duration/Format: 2 half-day interactive webinar sessions, November 9 & 10, 2016, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Central Time (Houston, USA)

This course will introduce you to the technology of microseismic monitoring, its roots in earthquake seismology, how data are acquired and how event locations and mechanisms are imaged. Building upon this work, the course will then describe how the microseismic data can be used to estimate the local stress field in the treated reservoir, the permeability enhancement created by the fracture, how the simulated reservoir will likely perform and even provide an estimate of stage, well or pad ultimate recovery.

SESSION 01  The History & Background of Frac Monitoring - A historical perspective
SESSION 02  Data Acquisition - How data are acquired
SESSION 03  Imaging Methods - How data are processed and analyzed
SESSION 04  Descriptive Completions Evaluation
SESSION 05  Predictive Completions Evaluation
