Our first quarter happy hour event at Cottonwood was successful despite the rainy weather! We plan to continue building momentum with our second-quarter happy hour event in Houston as the summer kicks off. 

The NextGen group will host GSH’s second quarter happy hour event on Thursday, June 8, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Kirby Ice House – Memorial. The event is free to attend, and you can buy food and drinks.

This laid-back venue is dog friendly with 6,500 sq. ft of indoor space that features Texas’s longest bar and a wide variety of beverages. Additionally, this venue features Houston’s biggest backyard (~35,000 sq. ft) with lots of seating, complimentary cornhole and bowling games, and outdoor TVs – the Astros will play the Blue Jays starting at 6:07 PM.

We invite all GSH members and their friends to come out and join us for food and drinks at this fun venue in the Spring Branch area. We also invited geoscience graduate students from the University of Houston, Texas A&M University, and Rice University. 

You should register online beforehand, but you can register onsite if needed. Come join our group of geoscience professionals as we celebrate the beginning of summer!
