In 2015 and 2016 Sofia contributed to AWG, OTC and the Women’s Global Leadership Conference in Energy as an invited speaker at several events, addressing topics that included: networking, personal branding, creating a diverse workforce, promoting STEM, negotiating salaries and building a strong resume.

Currently, Sofia is serving as a Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) Section Representative for the GSH and Chair of GSH Women’s events. She looks forward to continuing to: contribute to the technical quality of the GSH organization’s events, support the SEG and promote the very exciting and challenging energy industry amongst the newest recruits.  Sofia's other professional memberships include the SEG, AAPG, HGS, AWG and WEN.
