This year's Sporting Clays Tournament will be held on the weekend prior to the Texas Central Zone Dove Opening Day. The tournament is a morning event (Check-in at 7:15 am) and family members are welcome. Non-GSH members are eligible to enter. Pre-registration is required as there will be no on-site registration.  To speed up the check-in, we will register Teams by the assigned Captain who will then distribute shooting cards and tickets from the Team packet to the members of his/her Team.

 

The tournament is a 50-bird event, designed to simulate actual field conditions.  Good-quality shells (12 or 20 guages) will be provided.  You must bring your own eye and ear protection devices and attend the Safety Briefing at 8:15.  Shooting begins at 8:30 am.  Prizes will be awarded for shooting prowess in various levels of expertise.  Door prizes, made possible through corporate and private sponsorship, will be awarded after the conclusion of shooting and lunch.  Refreshments will be available throughout the day.
